Riverfront Development Corporation Executive Director, Megan McGlinchey, shares insights. One question we’ve been asked frequently since sharing our master plan concerns the proposed development of approximately 1.9 million square feet of office space within Riverfront East. Some people are wondering why, after COVID-19 has left many offices vacant, would we allocate Riverfront East land to build more.
When we started exploring the ideas of leveraging the foundations of 25 years of development on the west side to expand eastward, we committed to robust goals for elevating economic sustainability, introducing job opportunities and further increasing the respect and desirability of Wilmington beyond our local borders.
