A statement to the world. Officials mark Wilmington Riverfront East Salvation Army project, literally
The beam signing on October 22, 2021, was just icing on the cake on a day where the true celebration was recognizing the Salvation Army's commitment to the city, and the city's investment in providing space for an organization that does so much for the city's less fortunate. "This is a wonderful day for Wilmington, for the Salvation Army, and for our community. These new buildings--that will be beautiful, state-of-the-art, $19 million facilities--will continue to provide the services and the support that the Salvation Army has provided for decades here on the east side of the Christina River," said U.S. Sen. Chris Coons.
